Syake Ruibe / 鮭ルイベ

Ruibe, frozen salmon sashimi is a traditional specialty of the Ainu people.  Salmons are caught during the autumn and winter season and stored frozen, then thinly sliced and served still frozen.

Ikagoro Ruibe / イカルイベ

Squid ruibe with its guts

Hizu-namasu / 氷頭なます

Marinated cartilage of salmon's head  

Ikameshi / イカめし

Boiled squid stuffed with steamed glutinous rice

Pickled dried squid(surume) and shredded kelp(konbu) and herring roe(kazunoko) with soy sauce.

 

 Izushi / 飯寿司

 Fermented pressed salmon sushi

Sea‐squirts. Often eat it in sweetend vinegar with soy sauce(sunomono)
